Until a week ago, we had never heard of the Barcolana. However, the harbormaster of Certosa Marina (Venezia) invited us to join the biggest regatta (around 2000 competitors) in the world! We have never seen so many boats together in one race. The Italians sure know how to organize a spectaculair sailing event, with 4 days of festivities, in-port races, classical yacht races and cultural activities in the beautiful city of Triëst. It was our first regatta with East of the Sun. Despite the very light conditions (1-5 knots wind), our Azuree 33C did quite well, scoring a 324th place of 1800 boats. Enjoy the movie!
